Shepherd of the Hills Christian School is part of more than 1800 Lutheran Schools Nation-wide. We share common activities like AR (Accelerated Reader), sports leagues, Spelling Bees, Lutheran Schools Week, yearly themes and educational conferences. Since the 1890’s, Lutheran schools have worked to provide a Christ-centered and academic rigorous education for their students, kindergarten through college. When you are at Shepherd, you share the opportunity to believe in the Savior with other Christians. You belong to an historical educational system as well as the Body of Christ, his church. You have the challenge to become transformed into the image of Christ.
Shepherd provides an academically challenging curriculum, and our students regularly outperform other schools in national tests. We emphasize the development of critical thinking and independent problem solving to instill the skills for life-long learning.
At Shepherd, we believe in the benefits of physical activity and competition. Our students compete against other schools in the Denver Area Lutheran (DAL) Athletic Conference and other area schools in soccer, volleyball, basketball, and track.
