Spirit Rock

Do something special for your child, recognize a special occasion or accomplishment by painting our school Spirit Rock! The Spirit Rock is located at the front entrance to the school for everyone to see. You can sign up to paint the Spirit Rock HERE.

Details about painting the rock:

  • Reservations MUST be made to paint the rock and are on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Daily cost for the reservation is $21.50, which will be collected when you make your reservation. ALL contributions will directly benefit either the Shepherd Day School (DS) or the Shepherd Early Learning Center (ELC).
  • When making your reservation, use the comment box of the sign-up form to write the message you will be painting. Please also indicate if your contribution will be for the DS or ELC.
  • The SPIRIT ROCK may be reserved for a day or more. A day is defined as 24 hours, from 4pm prior to your booking until 4pm on the day of your booking. (Example: If your child’s birthday is on May 3, reserve May 3. Your reservation will begin at 4pm on May 2 until 4pm on May 3. We need everyone to cooperate with this rule in order to keep a functioning system.)
  • Paint can be picked up from Jack, Kristen, or Michele at the office.
  • In the event of inclement weather, a family or organization may revisit the calendar and choose an open date for a substitution. This may or may not be the next school day as that may already be reserved. We apologize, all reservation payments are non-refundable.
  • All individuals must use the paint supplied from Shepherd of the Hills. Due to the location of the rock, no spray painting is allowed.
  • Keep your message only on the front of the rock. The individual or group will be held responsible for any damage caused to school property. Anyone painting the rock must leave the area in a clean condition. Please return all paint material and remove all litter from the site.
  • The SPIRIT ROCK paintings must be in good taste. We will not allow any bullying, profanity, obscenity, derogatory language or mockery of any sort.
