I am periodically asked about how our 1:1 iPad program is working out with our 6th grade class. The answer is that it is working out very well. We see an increase in both student achievement and engagement, especially in the area of writing, and having individual devices in the hands of students increases the flexibility by which we are able to meet student needs. What is the next step? That is what we are working to figure out right now. Do we expand the program? Do we continue to use the iPad as our primary device? How do we best fund such an initiative?
